OLOTA OF OTA VISITS EURO GLOBAL, APPLAUDS SONA GROUP

Foremost, distillers and beverage company, Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited, a member of Sona Group of Industries recently received His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege, Olota of Ota kingdom as the royal paid a visit to their Ota factory in Sango-Ota, Ogun state. The Oba who earlier in the year ascended the throne of his fathers applauded the contributions of the manufacturing company for creating jobs for the teeming youths of Awori Kingdom as well as boosting the local economy of the host community.

The Oba effused joy and delight at seeing Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited operating within his kingdom, stating that the company did not only have the capacity to locally source its raw materials but also capable of exporting such products in line with international standards. H He said: “I am delighted that this exists in this town. Ordinarily walking around, you wouldn’t know that we have a fully automated factory like this with international standard that is producing products that are being exported to other countries right here and they are sourcing their raw materials locally which has helped in boosting the economic growth and activities not only for the farmers but also for the indigenes of this community.

“This is the kind of factory that we are ready to support in this country and then, being Olota of Ota, I assure Euro Global Group that I am always ready to assist them at all times. I also want to thank them for employing our youths and my prayer is that they should grow more so that they can employ more of our youths.” The Oba further congratulated the company for producing Seaking Schnapps, its flagship brand, pointing out that it is one of the best brands of Schnapps consumed by indigenes of the community.

He said, “People presented Seaking Schnapps to me as a gift during my coronation, but I never knew it was being produced right here. So, coming here today and seeing it, I am happy that it is being made here and I must thank Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited for doing that.”

While expressing his gratitude to the Oba, Chairman, Sona Group of Industries, Mr. Arjan Mirchandani said Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited were ready to do more for the community. Mirchandani pointed out that currently the company has about 4,000 employees and it is hoping to employ additional 2,000 more to boost it workforce as they scale up their production capacity.

He added that the company would not only contribute to the economic growth of Awori kingdom but would also ensure that it impacted the lives of the people through its Corporate Social Responsibly (CSR) programmes, which would ensure that more boreholes are dug so that the community members could have clean potable water. He emphasized that plans were underway to establish a hospital in the community so that Awori indigenes could have free medical care at all times.

The high point of the Oba’s visit was the pouring of libation by the Balogun of Ota Kingdom, High Chief Isiaka Idowu Balogun. The event attracted top dignitaries and high chiefs of Awori land in the entourage of the monarch as they were treated to a rich array of the company’s brands they toured the company’s facilities. Some of the Proudly Nigerian brands on display included Czar Vodka, Czar Ice, Power Bitters, Sona Bitters, Seaking Schnapps, Brave Heart Dark Rum, Sabrina Gin, Amphora, Golden Choco, Sona Pineapple drink, Savana Orange drink, Maltonic amongst others.
