President Buhari swears-in SGF, other top officials
President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in the newly appointed Nigeria’s Secretary to the Government of the Federation alongside the country’s National Security Adviser and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
Engineer Babachir David Lawal, Major General Babagana Muhammad Munguno and Mr. Femi Adesina took their oath of office before President Muhammadu Buhari at the Council Chambers of the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
In a remark on behalf of those sworn-in after the oath taking, VON reported that secretary to the Government of the Federation, Engineer Babachir David Lawal promised to do all within their power to take the country to greatness in line with the government’s change agenda.
Engineer Lawal also promised to conduct the affairs of government diligently for the rapid progress of the nation.
He was appointed the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Thursday along five other appointments including the Chief of Staff to the President and Controller Generals of Customs and Immigration Services.
The swearing in ceremony was attended by all the Permanent Secretaries, some State Governors, Service Chiefs, family and friends of those sworn-in.
