Joe Aribo put the Super Eagles ahead against Brazil with a close finish on Sunday

The Super Eagles of Nigeria battled the five-time world champions of Brazil to a 1-1 draw in Singapore on Sunday.

Joe Aribo put the Super Eagles in front in the 35th minute with a fine finish from close range before Casemiro’s second-half strike saved the South Americans from a shock defeat.
As the match came to an end, some notable football enthusiasts and pundits within the country took to the social media to express their viewpoints about the high tempo stalemate.
One of them was Mutiu Adepoju, a former Super Eagles Midfielder and current Laliga Ambassador commended the Eagles for the spirited display of solidity.
He wrote on his official twitter handle:

Another Nigerian soccer professional and pundit,Lolade Adewuyi, the Managing Editor of Soccer Net Nigeria and a columnist with The Guardian said: ‘Proud of our boys, it looked difficult but they stood tall against the mega stars of Brazil. 1-1 it ends in Singapore.’

His tweet:

Another sport analysts, Nelson MD, a blogger said: ‘Brazil attacked our defence like a cancerous cell…No restrictions! Early detection by the Nigerians led to the application of Joe Aribo Chemo… We were winning but the BRA Cancer struck back…we stood firm,fought and survived!’

A die-hard fan of the Super Eagles, Bolarinwa Olajide also commented. He said: ‘I like Osimhen’s movement and the industry of Chukwueze. The future of the Super Eagles of Nigeria is bright. They will even get better.’
