Nigeria remained unmoved at number 67 in the latest Fifa rankings for the month of May released on Thursday.

The three-time African champions were adjudged the same rank in the world according to the ranking released in April 2016.

The Eagles are now the 14th best African side behind Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, Cape Verde, Tunisia, Congo DR, Guinea, Congo, Cameroon, Morocco and Mali.

Algeria remain at the summit of African football with 771 points which put them in the 33rd position in the world while African champions Cote d’Ivoire are second in Africa and ranked 34th in the world.

All teams in the top 50 maintained their positions this month, while the regional composition of said teams also remained unaffected since last month’s ranking, reports GOAL.
