Barcelona announced the signing a day after winning the Champions League on Saturday, completing a treble of trophies along with the Spanish league and Copa del Rey this season.
To this end, European champions Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign Vidal from Sevilla.
A Barca statement read: “Barcelona and Sevilla have reached an agreement for the transfer of Aleix Vidal to the Azulgrana.
“The 25-year-old will sign for the next five seasons, until June 30 2020.”
However, Vidal, who can play both right back and right winger, won’t be able to play for Barcelona until it completes its FIFA-imposed transfer ban in 2016.
The 25-year-old has impressed for the Europa League winners this season after joining from Almeria and last month earned his first call-up to Vicente del Bosque’s Spain squad.
Vidal has agreed a five-year contract with Barca and will undergo his medical on Monday, June 8.
