Ahead of FIFA 16‘s release later this month, EA Sports on Friday announced the top-rated players for the professional soccer game. As you might have guessed, cover star Lionel Messi sits at the top of the list, with a 94 overall rating.
Rounding out the top five are Cristiano Ronaldo (93), Luis Suarez (90), Manuel Neuer (90), and Arjen Robben (90). These ratings are based on the last 365 days of performances in league and cup play. Click through the image gallery below to see the top ten overall FIFA 16 players.

FIFA 16 is the first entry in the long-running series to feature women’s teams. In addition, US Women’s star Alex Morgan will join Messi on the game’s cover in the United States.
The FIFA 16 release date is set for September 22 across console and PC. You can try out the game today through its free demo. Competitor PES 2016 arrives a week earlier, on September 15.
