The Institute of Football Coaching and Statistics has name the Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi as the 24th best national team coach in the world. The nearest African coach to Keshi on the list is Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer in 29th position, followed by Algeria coach Vahid Halihodzic who fell from previous 34th position to 41st. Black Stars of Ghana coach, James Kwesi Appiah is ranked 42nd in the world.
Top of the list is Spanish national team coach, Vincente Del Bosque followed by Germany Joachim Low. Oscar Tabarez of Uruguay placed 3rd, Italy Ceasre Prandelli came fourth, Netherlands Van Marwijk 5th, Jurgen Klinsmann 6th , Poalo Jorge Gomes of Portugal 7th.
Keshi’s rating is remarkable as he is way ahead of the French national team coach Laurent Blanc and Croatia national team coach, Slaven Billic who are placed 43rd and 50th respectively.
