Reports emerged on Thursday that both Arsenal and Chelsea have reached a deal in principle for the transfer of Petr Cech.
Cech is currently the second choice goalkeeper at Chelsea, with Thibaut Courtois displacing him as the first choice keeper this season.
The 32-year-old Czech international has not hidden his displeasure at being relegated to the bench, and has said that he could consider a move out of the club.
There have been speculations that Arsenal have already agreed a deal with Chelsea to purchase the player in January for a fee believed to be around the region of £7m.
What is not clear is if Chelsea would want to strengthen a rival, however they could be forced to do the business, especially as Cech is keen on leaving the club.
