Kelechi Iheanacho, the Golden Eaglets star that won the Golden Ball award as the player of the tournament at the recently concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup in UAE is set to join English club, Manchester City.
According to reports monitored on MTNFootball, the player’s father, who seems to play an important role in his career, admitted that after family consultations, they had decided to allow the player join the Easlands-based club.
Iheanacho, whose father raised an alarm on Friday about his son’s disappearance, was looking as though he would suffer the same fate that countryman and Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi suffered between 2005 and 2006 when he was the subject of a bitter transfer battle between Chelsea and Manchester United.
