Complementing a block of classrooms and furniture it donated to St. John Primary School in Ijebu Igbo community area of Ogun State six months ago, Airtel Nigeria, has donated a borehole to the same school, in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Handing over the borehole to the school, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, said Airtel was committed to providing world class telecommunications experience for customers and support for the socio-economic development of communities in which it operates, adding that the provision of safe and clean water for the pupils, teachers and the community is only a CRS token that would protect them from water borne diseases.
He promised that Airtel would continue to look after the school and pupils, saying that the telecoms operator has come to stay.
