CONFAB TRAGEDY AVERTED AS FEMALE DELEGATE SLUMPS
A female delegate, Mrs. Ezenwa Ifeanyinwa, yesterday slumped at the National Conference. Mrs. Ifeanyinwa who was a representative of the Market Women Association, was said to be on her way back from lunch break and was heading towards the plenary chamber when she suddenly fainted.
The ailing female delegate was immediately assisted by security agents, including operatives from the State Security Service, SSS, and the National Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC before a doctor was brought in to revive her.
Reports said she was active during the early hours of the day, and contributed to the debate on President Jonathan’s address to the Conference.
Two weeks back, a similar case ended badly when one of the delegates; retired police Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Hamma Misau reportedly died after passing out in his hotel room where he was lodged for the conference.
