Huawei sets to become world’s largest smartphone manufacturer
Huawei Technologies is third place in the ranking of smartphone brands behind Samsung and Apple, but that is not enough, the brand says.
Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Huawei Consumer BG, Richard Yu, made this clear in a statement saying, “Huawei and HONOR are likely to become the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer this year.”
This is a bold declaration, but since the group oversees both Huawei and its Honor sub-brand, the combined numbers simplify that mission.
According to Yu, there is a long-term plan which involves Huawei (alone), to be the top manufacturer in the world.
It’s not clear when that is predicted to happen, but in the meantime, Huawei has re-confirmed its commitment to Honor.
Huawei is on a success rocket with consumers around the world. In a few years, the company turned from the cheap smartphone maker we barely looked at to a flagship machine.
