The All Progressive Party (APC) Presidential Primaries which begun yesterday in Lagos has ended and the collation is ongoing.
About 10,000 delegates of the APC drawn from the 36 States and the FCT, gathered at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos to choose from the aspirants seeking to be the Party’s presidential candidate for the 2015 elections. This led to serious traffic jam in some parts of Lagos State.
The five aspirants vying for this positions are General Muhammadu Buhari, a former Head of State; Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president; Rochas Okorocha, Imo State Governor; Sam Nda-Isaiah, publisher of Leadership newspaper and Rabi’u Kwankwaso, Governor of Kano State.
At the end of the collation, the person who wins will have to contest with President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Position of the President in the up coming 2015 elections.
