Video: Mike Ezuruonye fights against piracy, seizes pirated movie in traffic
Nollywood actor, Mike Ezuruonye has been applauded by his fellow celebrities in the Nigerian entertainment industry for attempting to stop the tide of piracy in the country.
This came hours after Ezuruonye posted a video of how he seized a pirated copy of the EbonyLife Film ‘Chief Daddy’ been hawked around Lagos.
On Tuesday, the actor took to his Instagram page to post the video of the incident and captioned;
Seized this Pirated copy of the Movie CHIEF DADDY while behind traffic lights…By the Time we Cleared off the Road ,the Pirate Hawkers Ran away…It hurts to see Fellow Producers hard Labour being Pirated ..To me is a Mockery of all efforts and investments put into the work of Creative Art.It’s just tooooooo SAD..ROBBERY..I will continually STAND AGAINST PIRACY…Rubbishhhh ????#stoppiracy#piracyisadisease
Celebrities including Kate Henshaw, Ik Ogbonna, Oge Okoye, Beverly Osu and Peter Okoye of the defunct PSquare reacted by applauding Ezuruonye for taking the courageous step.
