The Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO), has commended 69 beneficiaries in Edo for their prompt repayment of loans as well as investment with the organisation.
Dr Honestus Obadiora, the Executive Director of LAPO, Non- Governmental Organisation (NGO), said this during the presentation of cooking gas and gas cylinders to the beneficiaries in Benin on Friday.
Obadiora said that the beneficiaries had not defaulted in loan repayment for over 10 and 11 cycles of financial dealings with the organisation.
“This gesture is under the LAPO Agriculture and Rural Development Initiative (LARDI).
“We are meeting the needs of our clients and we are reviewing their products based on the current economic realities.
“We also give our clients asset loans; buy them farming and business equipment and they pay in installment,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mrs Osaro Onaghise, the Client Relations Manager, LAPO, said the 69 beneficiaries were selected from about 12,000 clients in Edo division.
