As part of its innovative drive, the management of Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing company (IVM) has introduced the Tricycle Ambulance to cater for quick emergence response needed to save lives faster in Nigeria.

According to the company, the Tricycle Ambulance is designed for emergency situations such as child delivery and critical medical treatments.
‘There are paths, short cuts in rural areas that can’t be easily accessible by big Ambulances, Tricycle Ambulances can save the day’, the company tweeted.
‘A Tricycle Ambulance will be able to navigate narrow paths and streets that are inaccessible for bus ambulances. This advantage enables First Responders to respond to medical emergencies faster than a car, van or truck in heavy traffics. Also healthcare centers in rural areas can use it’.

Brilliant point made. This has been a tradition in remote locations especially for primary healthcare Centers. In some parts of Nigeria the sick and Pregnant women are carried on bikes, wheel barrows or walk long distance to hospitals. This helps and is cheap to maintain
