According to her, the free medical outreach also provides traders in various markets the opportunity to know their health status through free diabetes and hypertension tests.
Ekeocha said that the gesture was prompted by the prevalence of diabetes and hypertension in the society, which he said have become silent killers’ among the Nigerian populace.
“The medical outreach target traders in the markets, who due to their business engagements ,rarely devote time to check their medical status.
“As you are aware, health and safety form part of our charitable objectives.
“Beyond providing free medical check-ups, we are also giving drugs and other corporate gifts at no cost to the traders,” she said.
The Chairman, Ifeleye Spare Parts Market, Oke Padi in Ibadan, Chief Adeolu Osisanwo, commended the initiative, describing it as a great way to improve the health and well-being of the market community.
Ifeleye encouraged the traders to take full advantage of the programme.
