In an announcement on Wednesday in Abuja by Mr Olisa Metuh, the national publicity secretary of the PDP, he stated that the party has fixed Nov 29 and Dec 6 for its governorship and presidential primaries respectively ahead of the 2015 general elections and Nov 22 for the National Assembly, adding that the dates were proposed by the party’s national working committee (NWC).
According to Mr Olisa, the dates are subject to approval at the party’s National executive conference (NEC) on sept 18, and all public servants, elected party officials interested in contesting for any position were expected to resign their appointments seven days before the beginning of the ward congress election.
The nomination and expression of interest for various elective offices would be on sale between Oct 27 and 28 in order to enable public office holders interested in elective offices resign before Oct 20.
