KWACCIMA to train youths, entrepreneurs on clothmaking, holds 9th trade fair in December

The Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA) says it will train youths and entrepreneurs in cloth making and designing.

The Finance and Administration Manager of the chamber, Mr Ahmed Olarongbe, said this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin on Tuesday.

Olarongbe said that the training was free and is part of the the chamber’s mandate to contribute and add value to entrepreneurship development.

He therefore urged all unemployed youths and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the training scheduled for Aug. 16 to 18.

“As part of KWACCIMA’s mandate to contribute and add value to entrepreneurship in terms of skills acquisition, we are organising a three-day training on clothes making like adire, kampala and batik.

“We are inviting professionals as resource persons who will handle the training.

“The training will begin on Aug. 16 to 18, we urge all our youths, the unemployed and self employed to come and take advantage of this unique opportunity to become self-reliant.

“The training is free and will hold at the KWACCIMA secretariat premises at Afon junction, Ganmo, but you have to register with N2,000 and be certificated.

Olarongbe also disclosed that plans were ongoing for the 9th Kwara Trade Fair which, he said, will hold in December at the Kwara Stadium.
