The service will give the ordinary people something to be proud of just as it will enable every individual to live the life they deeply desired to live.’

Omoniyi, an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, further added: ‘We all are aware of the digital age which many refer to as the fourth industrial revolution. And truly, the revolution is here as we all make use of different smart phones which are imprints of the digital age. The revolution, which has just started, will usher in many things; but we really need a reliable platform. The revolution itself rest on the platform of connectivity and the launching of the VDT 4G Lte Advanced brand is the beginning of that connectivity. In his own submission, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the company, Engr. Victor Omoniyi noted that, having understood the world, knowledge-based economy is heavily powered by data; the company has packaged the VDT 4G Lte Advanced brand to bridge the communication gap and help the consumer live the life they so much desire.

He said: ‘For us in VDT, we want our brand to be very significant in enhancing the quality of the lives of our consumers. This new brand is not just a me-too product, rather, it is a brand that has come to plunge itself into the market space. Since the future will be heavily powered by access to data, we want to galvanise as many customer segments as we move into the future.’

Speaking with BRANDPOWER at the launch programme, Mr. Femi Babatunde, the retail manager of the company highlighted the differentiating features and winning-edge the VDT brands have over other competing service providers. He said the company offers a value proposition that is distinct and unique compared to what is obtainable with other brands.

Babatunde said ‘If you look at our brand services, you will notice that our free night package starts between 8pm and 7am. Nobody in the market does that because it is more like a peak period. What that means is that between these peak periods, you can enjoy free browsing with an internet service that is super-fast, affordable and reliable. For SME, we have a whole lot of data plans that cater for every sector and segment of the consumer base’.

Babatunde further added: ‘There are many players in the industry with the 4G networks, but what makes our own the biggest of them all is that it is a 4G Lte Advanced. What that means is that 4G will give you like 100 mbps, but ours will give you a maximum of 300 mbps which is closer to the 5G and even makes it easier for us to effectively upgrade our systems when the 5G networks fully comes into the country’.

Meanwhile, one of the dignitaries at the event, Mr. Funso Oyeniyi, the Managing Director of Impact Chain & Management consulting later testified to effectiveness of the VDT internet services. He said: ‘I have had this device for about six months now and it has been fantastic. Twice, I had a reason to call their customer care service centre when I had little hitch and I was thrilled by the prompt response of the team who came and checked the system and reconnected me. One thing about the service is that it is super-fast. It works so well that you won’t have to wait particularly when downloading videos. In my business, I have had to send many videos and messages to clients and I found the service very fantastic. I strongly recommend it.’
