Three million people sign petition for Clinton to become president

Donald Trump has been elected president of the United States.

But not everyone wants to accept that. More than three million people have signed a petition calling for Hillary Clinton to become president anyway.

It could actually happen, as in America people vote indirectly, by appointing ‘electoral college’ representatives who will pick a leader on their behalf.

Each state is appointed a certain number of those representatives – and on December 19, they will meet to decide the next president.

Technically, they could ignore the election result and vote for a different candidate – a last hope for those who signed the petition.
They say they need 4.5 million signatures and at the moment, over 3 million have signed it..
