Sterling Bank Plc holds 57th Annual General Meeting

Sterling Bank Plc is currently holding its 57th annual general meeting at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Victoria Island.

According to the bank’s latest tweet, a comprehensive report on progress made so far by the bank will be presented to the Directors and key stakeholders present at the forum.

It could be recalled that the management of Sterling Bank Plc last week partnered with Macmme Project to make a movie that will create awareness on maternal mortality.

Speaking at the press conference organised to publicise the new movie titled ‘Anave’, the Head of Tech & Digital compliance of Sterling Bank, Lekan Akintemi said that the need to cater for its teeming customers’ health informed the decision of the bank to be a part of the movie.

“For Sterling, a healthy customer is very important to Sterling, which is why we are very happy to be a part of this movie that seeks to create awareness for the real ills of society”, he said.

In her submission at the press conference, the founder of Macmme Project, Nicole Ndigwe noted that the movie serves ‘as a wakeup call to all Nigerians about the ills of homelessness, maternal mortality and other diseases’ killing young and old people within the country.

A former Minister for information and Chairman of the Macmme Project, Frank Nweke pointed out that it was MACMME’s vision to create awareness for maternal mortality and its associated ills that informed his association.

Sayo Lojede of Sterling’s Health division thereafter, explained why Anave is the perfect movie to help make Nigerians aware of the very sad statistics that surround their health sector.
