S’ West PDP Moves Against Mu’azu, Urges Him to Resign Honourably

MUAZU

Following the disastrous outing of the party in the just-concluded general elections, the Southwest caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party has asked the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu and other members of the National Working Committee, to resign  without delay, Thisday reports.

The caucus also warned the All Progressives Congress not  to allow its victory  in the last presidential poll to get its members  intoxicated to the extent of harassing, molesting any PDP Governor in the zone, vowing to resist any attempt to impeach Governor Ayodele Fayose for his loyalty to the party.

Expressing worry about the outcome of the last general elections, the zone commended President Goodluck Jonathan for posturing as a statesman by conceding defeat despite the noticeable flaws in the presidential poll , saying this had allowed  Nigeria to stand united and prevent unwarranted crisis.

The party spoke in Ado Ekiti on Friday during a meeting of its South West Presidential Contact and Mobilization Committee hosted by Fayose in Ado Ekiti , where party leaders from the six States in the Geo-political Zone had attended.

The communiqué read by the PDP  leader in the Zone , Chief Bode George, after the three hours closed door meeting stated unequivocally that members of the NWC must resign their positions and return home to work for the party.
