The NFF has been a divided house for over two months and report emanating from Abuja this morning has it that the headquarters of the Nigeria Football federation in the Wuse Zone 7 District has been gutted by fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time but the Federation’s spokesperson, Ademola Olajire, confirmed the incident. Mr. Olajire, who said he was just arriving the scene, said the fire began on the third floor of the building.
It was gathered that the offices of the President, Secretary General and the accounts department might have been affected. Fire service officials have arrived the scene and are battling to put out the fire. The NFF is currently enmeshed in a leadership tussle with Aminu Maigari and Mike Umeh laying claim to the chairmanship of the football body.
