NHF will work to regain lost glory in Africa, says President

The President, Nigeria Handball Federation (NHF), Samuel Ocheho, on Tuesday in Abuja said the Federation would regain the lost glory of handball in Africa.

Ocheho, who made the promise in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Abuja said his target was to create awareness on the game right from the grassroots.

“We have been organising handball competitions in secondary schools in Lagos and we have a solid foundation of the game.
“Now that the game is well known in Lagos, my target is to propagate the game in other states of the country .

“I am happy that I have a technical team and zonal representative committed to work to make us realise the dream,” he said
Ocheho said the federation would attract corporate bodies by organising more competitions in realisation of its objectives.

“We need support from private companies, philanthropists and lovers of the game. This will help us to create awareness on the game in Nigeria.”
The President of NHF said that federation would also work to regain its lost glory in the committee of sports in Africa and elsewhere.
