Maina Remanded In Prison
The embattled former chairman of the Pension Reforms Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina has been remanded in prison custody by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Despite Maina pleading not guilty to 12 counts charges, Justice Okon Abang ordered his remand order in compliance with a request presented by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to the court.
Maina’s case was thereafter adjourned until October 30 for trial and November 19 for suitability of his application for bail filed before arraignment.
The former boss of PRT is facing charges of money laundering, operating fictitious bank accounts and fraud.
