Nice physical structure; horrible service…
Day 1 (Morning): Ordered breakfast in the restaurant…seemed like they went to look for a farmer, begged God for rain and good harvest. Food arrived almost an hour later. Fair
Day 1 (Evening): Decided to avoid restaurant experience….Ordered dinner (room service) that never came…turned out reception and restaurant staff chose to sleep instead of being disturbed by wahala guest from Lagos. Never knew a night could be soooooo long
Day 2 (Morning): Chose to eat humble pie and return to the restaurant before son of man kaputs. Error, big, big E-R-R-O-R!!!
Ordered breakfast:
boiled yam? ‘We’ll peel and cook now, Sir”
Bread and egg + tea? “Ok, Sir”
After about 10 minutes…”Sorry, Sir, they say eggs have finished; they will go and buy from across the street, will you manage just bread and tea?”
Me (stomach growling): Just bring it…
Hot water served.
About five minutes later…tea cup ‘served’.
Then came plate with four slices of dry bread, on top of which were two bags of Lipton tea + four cubes of sugar + two sachets of Peak liquid milk, all wrapped with cellophane.
Me: Butter?
Hotel staff dashed to the kitchen, came back looking flustered: Sir, there is no butter…
I never knew hunger could disappear faster than the speed of light.
My people, I belleful sharp, sharp.
To imagine that @ “GOLDEN VILLA…Every guest is a Celebrity”
Glad my flight back home is just a few hours away.
Wish I could meet the owner of this great-looking hotel and tell him how the Backroom service is generously pouring his investment down the drains.
Just in case you know him…please tell him his ‘gold’ is rusting fast. He needs to wake up before….
