A raging fire incident occurred at Ibis Royal Hotel located in Ajao Estate, along the International Airport Road, Lagos State on Wednesday evening.
Multiple videos on social media showed what appeared to be a series of two-story buildings being ravaged by soaring flames.
Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, Babjide Sanwo-Olu, in a post on Twitter, stated that the fire was reported at 4:50 pm
Gawat stated that the Isolo and Bolade Fire Crews of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service intervened and were able to curtail the fire to provide substantial mitigation and prevent greater damage.
