FCMB raises alert over defrauding of its customers
The management of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) have called the attention of the public to the fraudulent activities being perpetrated by some unknown persons who claimed to be staff members of the bank on the social media.
On a report on its website, FCMB said the fraudsters claiming to be its staff have been chatting with unsuspecting customers on social media, tricking the customers into believing that they can qualify them for the bank’s Millionaire Promo if given access to their account information or being paid some amount of money.
The bank said: ‘It has been brought to our notice that individuals claiming to be staff of FCMB chat with unsuspecting customers on social media and trick them into believing that they can qualify for the FCMB Millionaire Promo by providing their account information or money.’
‘Please note that this is a fraud attempt and under no circumstance should you share your hard-earned money or details of your account – PIN, Debit Card Expiry Date, CVV, Transaction Password, Token or any form of access code with anyone. If you notice or suspect any fraudulent activity, please contact us’, the bank added.
