The presidential candidate of YPP in the February 23 presidential election, Professor Kingsley Moghalu has resigned from the party.
Professor Moghalu, who made his decision known via his official twitter handle on Monday, called on the federal government to carry out an electoral reform just as he believed that without electronic voting, Nigeria’s democracy would remain weak.
The political economist, who believed that the country was close to its moment of reckoning, also cited voter education and constitutional restructuring as real issues the country should deal with.
