Boko Haram attacks yet again in Borno State
Insurgent group known as Boko Haram destroyed another bridge in Borno State yesterday. The militants reportedly planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) under the Madafuma bridge that links Biu and Maiduguri, the blast from the explosive destroyed the bridge according to villagers.
Madafuma village is located along Biu-Damboa- Maiduguri, which is about 160 kilometres from Maiduguri where terrorists through massive ambush on the road has claimed many lives of innocent civilians and military, as well as kidnapping motorists and passengers.
According to source, the bombing occurred at about 1:30am early yesterday morning when people were far asleep.
A villager in the area said they heard a loud noise which caused panic and confused but it was in the morning they found out that the Madafuma bridge which links Biu and Girau had been blown apart.
It will recall that about two months ago Boko Haram militants also blew off three bridges across Borno state.
Why are these Boko Haram members so particular about Borno State? The re-occurrence of attacks in the state seems to be getting out of hand.
The State government needs to tighten security in his state, because the menace is getting out of control
