The new fully unlocked SIM-free iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus is out and Apple is going to start selling them in the United States from today, Tuesday January 6 2014.
The latest change in iPhones means that Apple will sell the latest iPhone models with no SIM-card so that customers can use the phone anywhere in the world on any supported carrier by bringing along their own SIM-card.” In other words, Apple is freeing up the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus so you won’t be locked into one particular carrier.
And here’s another cool thing about this: You will be able to pick up these devices both online through Apple’s retail website and through Apple’s physical retail outlets. This means that you should be able to just bring your SIM card to your local Apple Store, have a store employee insert it into an unlocked SIM-free iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, and you’re good to go.
